Homestay Accommodation
When studying at Hobsonville Point Schools, we offer homestay accommodation to our international students and they can choose from one of the following options for accommodation:
Live with a homestay family (school-approved).
Stay with a family member or close family friend known to the student’s parents. This person is called a Designated Caregiver and will be police vetted and his/her house will be visited and treated as a homestay would be.
Stay with their mother or father, who can apply for a Guardian Visa to accompany them to New Zealand. The Guardian cannot work while in New Zealand on a Guardian visa.
All families are police checked and live in the local surrounding area. We aim to go above the minimum requirements, and as a school and as a community, we want to provide a warm and welcoming home to our students.
If a student is staying in a homestay, or with a designated caregiver, an application form and an agreement form needs to be completed.
